                      With a very kind demeanor and a very upbeat outlook on life, Enya is a very content person. She has a lot of sympathy for people or animals that are caught in tough times, which can sometimes lead her into trouble. She loves to make people feel welcome, and will try to make people comfortable with their surroundings. If someone needs a pick-me up or someone to listen to them, she will offer a shoulder to lean on and will listen to whatever they need. She honestly believes that anyone who is kind to her is trustworthy, so if a character in nice, she will trust them and try to become friends. Enya can be impulsive at times, and listens to her heart more than her head. If a job needs to get done that she can do, she'll do it. It doesn't matter how long it will take, she'll do it. Sometimes, however, she can become distracted by things in her surroundings, and will switch topics of conversation quickly. Enya has many ideals, and believes that, somehow, almost every one of them can and will become true. She hasn't been out in the world for very long, and she still has a lot to learn.


H i s t o r y :

Elizabeth and Fredric DuPont were a happy couple. They had married quickly, but nothing had gone wrong, and all was well. They lived together near a forest in Poland for a long while until They'd decided to have a child, for if they had a child, the of course their happiness would increase, because what else could someone need but a living being to look after? They decided to make the move to Wales beforehand, as they had always wanted to go. They found a little house on the outskirts of a town, and soon enough, Elizabeth was with child.

Their child was precious, with hair like fire and a smiling face, and they were happy. The child never cried, only made small cooing noises when she needed anything. The child watched everything with wide open eyes, taking in everything around her, always. One night, Elizabeth tucked in her child, hummed a small lullaby, and went to bed. It was that night that everything changed. Outside the house, a creature known as a Bendith y Mamau waited. It crawled into the child's room, took her out of the cradle, and replaced her with a changeling. It left, baby in tow, for it's own home, and it's own village.

The Bendith y Mamau, known by it's kin as Firaye, cared for the child as her own. On the second night with the child, she took her in front of the village, and named the child Enya Ellylldan Bendith. Her other name was lost, and the child was raised up with the magic of the fairy village. She played with will-o-wisps and pixies, and had a very kind childhood.

One day, when Enya was the human age of eleven, Firaye went out at night. Enya followed her into the woods, and soon found herself in a clearing. Firaye was in the middle of it, sitting on a small rock as she played on an old, but still very beautiful, violin. She hummed a quiet tune, and Enya was mesmerized by the harmonies that the Bendith's voice created. As the song went on, images appeared in the air, telling a story. The images seemed so real, yet Enya could still feel the forest all around her. She sat there for what seemed like only a few minutes, but soon the sun was rising, and Firaye stopped her song. The images faded. As she turned around to leave, Enya heard the Bendith call after her.

"Enya, child, why did you follow me?"

"Because I wanted to know where you were going." Her voice seemed so much quieter than she thought it would be.

"And what did you think?"

"I thought it was amazing."

Firaye was smiling now. "Would you like to try?"

A grin sparked across Enya's face. "Yes, please!"

From then on, Firaye taught her the magic and the music she had used that night. The violin was harder to master than the singing was, but eventually she could play basic melodies. By the time she was 15, she could do two part harmonies with her voice, create basic images around her, and play the violin fairly well.

It was that year that Firaye disappeared for a week. While she was gone, Enya worked ever harder on her skills. When she returned, she had with her a small baby boy. On the second night, he was named Raleit. As the years went on, Enya kept him close by. She cared for him, as Firaye was getting older and couldn't always keep an eye on him.

Eventually, when Enya was nineteen, and Raleit was four, Firaye talked with her. She told her it was time for her to leave the fairy village. She was, after all, human. She should make something of herself outside, in the entirety of the world. Enya knew that it was a good idea, but still she waited for a few weeks before leaving on the summer solstice. She said her goodbyes, and left. Firaye had prepped her in the weeks that had preceded her leaving, and she felt ready.

At first, she stuck to small inns in small towns. She stayed like that for two years, sticking to her comfort zone. It was in a small town on the English coast that she saw the Cirque for the first time. It was magical, and she couldn't help but feel like she was home. After the Cirque left, she missed her home so much that she simply had to make a return trip. It was then that she learned Firaye had passed, only a few months after she had left. Raleit had missed her, and was in the care of some of the other Bendith y Mamaus.

Though she stayed for a few weeks, she couldn't help but feel that, without Firaye, it wasn't truly her home. It was then that she made the decision to search for the only other place that made her feel at home- Le Cirque des Rêves.
